Ministers Schedule Stewardship Reflection - Please submit your pledge card if you haven't alreadyDear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Last week, you received a letter in the mail talking about how the church in St. Paul’s day was not much different from our church today. As I said earlier, Paul’s request is quite touching. “Do your best to come to me soon… Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me in ministry. I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus. When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, also the books, and above all the parchments.” Paul was really only looking for three things, a visit, for Timothy to bring a friend, and the resources he needed for ministry. So, if you received a pledge card and have not returned it, let me ask you for the same things that Paul asked Timothy to bring to him: come to church, bring along a friend, and help us with the resources this community needs for ministry. Church is at 9AM on Sunday, and your pledge can be made either by mailing in your card, bringing the card to church, or online with this Vanco link. God bless you in this season of preparation, Benjamin+ You can pick up a pledge card at the check-in table on Sunday or just call the office. Thank You!
Rev. Benjamin Thomas invites you to worship Sunday in-person or at home
Dear Friends, The early church came together across previously unimaginable social and political boundaries in the name of Jesus for mutual support, encouragement, and to grow in the knowledge and love of God. We welcome you to attend our in person worship at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays. We sincerely hope that people will feel comfortable and safe returning to in-person worship. Even so, some will not feel safe or face a greater risk, and so we will provide a Zoom link and Facebook live stream to the in-person worship as a way of keeping our community together in worship. This has been a long journey that is not quite at its end, but I am hopeful, along with the Vestry, that we will be able to travel this last stage together with a renewed sense of hope and purpose in our mission to share the love of God with all the world. Community Table March 17 ~ volunteers & milk neededWe still need 2-3 gallons of milk Saturday, March 17th, help is needed between 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. with 2 shifts to choose from. You can sign up to stay for both shifts, or choose the one that works best for you. In-person service changes the number of people needed to commit to the service date; ideally 6 to 8 people for each shift. Interacting directly with people deepens the outreach experience and makes it more meaningful for both the person being served and the service provider. • 1st shift (9 am to 11:30 am) will prepare meals. (2 volunteers) Call the office (715.835.3734) to help with: • Donate plastic of 3 - 6 cases bottles of water or 2 - 3 gallons of milk on our service date. Please click on the button below to review the available slots and sign up. Thank you! Link to The Community Table Volunteer Guidelines ~ Updated June 1st
Festival Foods Brat Feed Fundraiser July 27th 10-6FESTIVAL FOODS BRAT STANDSponsored by Christ Church Cathedral Stop for a delicious & quick lunch!! Bratwurst, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs "EC Soup for the Soul" Continued Ministry?Planning for the Christ Church Cathedral Soup For The Soul has been put on what we hope is a temporary hold due to the possible departure of the Gumulauskas family. The Vestry has given support to this mission, however to make it a reality we need more support from the congregation. There is a signup sheet in the Memorial Lounge for anyone who is interested in being involved. If there is interest, an informational meeting will be scheduled. During this time of transition at the cathedral we need to continue to look outward and do the work we have been charged with in our baptismal vows: Seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself. For questions please talk to Mike or LeeAnn Gumulauskas, Rick or Ellen Allison, Jany Chumas, Mary Decker.
